Classes this far are looking promising; some are easy, so my prove to be difficult: it is a good mixture of both. I ended up taking two religious classes (Philosophy of Religion[for Steve] and Religious Ethics) and I am kind of excited about them. The philosophy one may be kind of hard, only because the book is incredibly dry and not exciting to read. I saw Camera Obscura last night, and if you haven't heard of them I suggest you check them out. The Lymbyc System's new cd if coming out this week and I will actually buy this one.
Right now I am kind of torn, in regard to eating habits: I like my meat (excluding chicken) but I don't like my animal products (milk, mayo, eggs).

I have 6 one page papers due tomorrow and a 6 page research paper due Thursday. "Thrilled" is not a word I would use to describe me feelings towards this. I cannot wait until the weekend, it will be a welcome reprieve.

I am going back to Venice next Saturday.
i just finished my last class for the first week of school. i think it will be fun partially because of scooting everywhere but also because all my classes are at good times of the day. on monday and wednesday i have math and gen ed psych; the math is going to kill me because the teacher is SO boring and the stuff is easier than the stupid "Intermediate Algebra" calss i had to take b/c of my math SAT score. how mush sense does that make? /sigh psych will of course be cool i mean i did already take two classes at vhs. on tuesday and thursday I have american roots music which is fucking awesome because robbie is teaching it (he taught modern pop music last semester) and he is a mac daddy (who uses a mac ironically) and it is pretty much about folk music and where it came from. I then have Astronomy which is really cool, i mean who DOESN'T like nebuli and galexies and stars? on tuesday I have my once a week English workshop which will probably be the hardest and was kind of intimidating at first, but after takig a few days to think back, it won't be that hard I wil have to write two 10 page papers but it will be about me and musings on life mostly. on thursday i have my once a week lab in astronomy which is REALLY gonna kick some serious ass.

So yea, that is the summery of my classes, gonna be fun.

i got some bbq sauce from north carolina and my mom is making pulled pork with it. yea i got a quart, it is large. i can smell it wafting through the ait and into my olfactories; moving up and tickling my brain and creating a reaction in my mouth which causes me to salivate uncontrolably. still a few more hours of slow cooking till my taste buds will be rewarded with a mixture of sweet, spicy and smoky flavors, all in one delicious sauce and meat mix.

anyway...

i am back from north carolina.
it was quite the trip and i saw some beautiful sights. our cabin was up this small curvey road, mostly up hill, but it was huge and beautiful. the highlight would have to be the tubeing down teh river, i am pretty banged up, but it was worth it. riding down a rapid in a bathingsuit while 50 degree water is splashing all up in you is quite the rush.
I got poison ivy, but it isn't too bad, it hasn't started itching and i am using a local remedy.
We met this fellow named Lester who owns his own hunting and outdoor supplies shop; he is fantastic. Lester is this stout 6' man who has a beard and carves walking sticks and pumpkins. i got a picture with him, which i will soon post. From this man i also procured a blowgun and several darts.

In Summation:

North Carolina: Beautiful
North Carolinians: Scary at times, but awesome
The Whole Trip: I got a blowgun
